I have created a new section for the slider but when I try to create a new slide nothing happens - I click the 'Creat Slide' button but nothing happens. I don't see any plugin for a slider - should there be one?
If you're having issues maybe try turning off your other plugins - just to see if something's clashing. Or if you're OK with it, you could provide me credentials for your WordPress dashboard and I'll take a look.
I've followed these exact steps and when I click the 'Create Slide' button nothing happens. I've checked my plugins and there is no item for a slider - is this the problem and if so, how do I install tyhe slider plugin?
Not sure if I follow you - on which page shall I open the Chrome inspector on the webpage or the wordpress page? You can see my website at https://www.goodguys.co.uk
The page where you are encountering the issue. Ideally, it would be great if you provide me credentials to your WP so I can check out the error and advice. But if you don't want to share them I need at least to have an idea of what is causing the error. This is why I am asking you to make a screenshot of the console.
I really appreciste the prompt responses but sadly I'm still unable to create new slides. Don't worry, I'll use the theme without the slider and look out for an update. In the meantime, I don't suppose there is a way to remove the quote marks "" on the welcome messages is there? No worries if this is outside the support remit. Thanks again. Martin
Hi Elena - Can I impose one last time? My new website is finished and looking great but when I go to my Hostinger dashboard, I get an odd pop-up (see attached screenshot) which refers to the theme's add-ons. You still have my login details so I wondered if you could take a look? Is it as a result of the amends you made to the slider images? Anyway - if you could that would be great!
No, the error has nothing to do with the previous changes, it has to do with the WP-CLI which is enabled on Hostinger. It doesn't prevent your website from working. However, I've made some changes and the error should have gone now
So sorry to have to trouble you again but the error code is back. It's my fault as I was having problems accessing Wordpress admin as Hostinger hpanel kept saying 'Invalid WordPress Installation' so I re-instated a backup from before you fixed the error (doh)! Hostinger says my Wordpress core files should be reinstalled but if I do that it will overwrite anything you've done? Is it likely that your fix is causing a problem? Anyway attached is a screenshot from today with the error - could you help again? The login details are unchanged. Apologies for being a pain.
It's not easy to determine the issue from a screenshot. However, it seems the errors are coming from WP-CLI. I’m wondering if you can turn it off or disable it (I'm not sure if that's possible).
Additionally, I checked your theme and noticed that the changes I made were lost. I've reapplied them, so you shouldn't encounter any errors from WP-CLI now.

I forgot to say that of course I have tried to select a correctly sized image from the media library first
Hey there,
Check out this link for how it should work: https://jmp.sh/ZeDQ3Ewh

Hi again, can you please open the Chrome inspector and see if the console raises any issues? Any screenshot is welcome.
Not sure if I follow you - on which page shall I open the Chrome inspector on the webpage or the wordpress page? You can see my website at https://www.goodguys.co.uk
Can I ask again if I should see a plugin for the slider (see screenshot below)
Thanks

No additional plugin is required for the slider, it's all handled by Retro Add-ons.
Thanks Elena -

The slider works for me. Can you try purging your cache and try again?
P.S. I've removed the undesired quote marks
That works :)
Thanks so much for all your help!

Thanks so much Elena - I'll look into it. Once this is settled I don't plan to make any further changes!
All best, Martin
