No need any plugin to create a child theme. In the package you've downloaded from ThemeForest you can find a ready-to-use child theme. Activate that, you won't need to import any settings.
Once you've edited the parent theme customisations in the appearance menu it seems that those customisations do not copy across into a child theme that iOS created after the customisations have been made.
I've had to manually recreate all the appearance customisations.
Uhm, never happened such a thing. I am having a look at your site and it seems that settings have been preserved.. or did you configure it from scratch?
I created the child then had to manually configure all the appearance customisations to mimic the parent as they had not been copied over during the child creation..
I have installed a plug in to create a child theme. How do I bring all the 'Appearance customisations' in to the child theme from the parent? Thanks

Is that right?
When you activate the child theme you don't need to do anything else
When I activate the child theme none of my header, footer, typography settings etc are carried over from the parent. :-(

I love the theme by the way!
Happy you like it!
