I have been a happy user of this theme, but I am now missing a very common feature: a photo slider on the home page instead of a fixed photo.
Holiday houses need to show pictures to inspire customers, and having a sliding image on the very top of the page is the best way to do it... because you can never know if the customer will scroll the page or browse other pages.
Most professionnal tools and themes include this feature, and we are now missing it: it's a pain for our business!
So can you either add this feature, or provide a howto do this on our own ?
By the way, just a couple of users over 1000 customers have required such a feature so far, and TBH I am not thinking to add it unless I receive a considerable number of requests.
Said that, adding a slider is not that easy and it requires many theme file modifications. In addition, writing a an how-to guide wouldn't be less expensive than adding that feature to the theme
For all the reasons above I am unable to provide help and I am very sorry for that, but I hope you can see my point.
Anyway, on thing is adding a slider and other thing is releasing a slider feature update with backend options for a theme that already has 1000+ sales. That's not a 2-hours job and, as I previously said, such a feature was required just a couple of times.

(I would like a video but I think that the answer of Pasquale will be the same as for your request) so I will probably make your solution which seems to me the most appropriate. Disappointed by your lack of help, I did the integration of a photo carousel by myself.

I think that the home page is way more dynamic and shows more. More appealing for tourists... More appealing for guest house owner maybe ?
It only took me less than 2 hours to do so (I did not developp a back-office though: slides URL is hardcoded).
