Tried installing the full RETRO theme for my client and after it uploads I get an "INCOMPATIBLE THEME" error. I'm on a Mac running Chrome. All software up to date. Latest version of WP. I was able to install the smaller version of the theme that was included but not the full theme. Need to get this site up ASAP and really appreciate the help!
That's pretty normal, you cannot use custom themes on WordPress.com, you will need a self-hosted WordPress.org blog to do that. See wordpress.com vs wordpress.org.
