Common Questions & Answers
Why I get a 404 (page not found) error?
That is a very common WordPress issue with Permalinks, not related to the theme (even if we're really trying to prevent it). To fix it, all you have to do is navigate to Settings - Permalinks and hit the "Save Changes" button. That's it!
Why menu links don't work?
Please make sure that menu IDs correspond to section slugs (refer to the documentation, chapter The Menu). If that does not fix the issue, delete the menu and create a new one.
Why the menu is hidden on mobile device?
That's not an issue, we chose to hide menu links on mobile devices because Retro is a one-page theme and those links are not really necessary to navigate through the blog.
How can I change the order of front page sections?
If you need to rearrange the order of the sections, you can use the Order field inside the Attributes box. Assign higher numbers to sections you want to come after.
Why the contact form doesn't work?
WordPress may be having some problem sending the email from your server. Try to install the plugin WP Mail SMTP and see if it helps. In some cases it solves the problem, depending on the server's configuration.
How can I move from Retro 3 to Retro 4?
Retro 4 it's not just an update but a new theme built from scratch! So, if you are currently using a 3.x version or lower, please consider that migration to 4.x means to configure the theme from scratch.
How can I go back to Retro 3.x?
Please send us a message from our profile page so that we can verify if you have purchased Retro; then we will send you the latest stable Retro 3 version (v3.7).
Where is the changelog?
There is a file named changes.txt just inside the theme's folder.
